December 23, 2021 /MarketersMedia/ — Bryn Carden balances a student life at Texas Christian University while pursuing an early career as a young social entrepreneur. In her pursuit of success and happiness thus far, personal branding plays a crucial role in standing out as a professional and an entrepreneur.
“I really started to see the advantages personal branding has when developing a resume after receiving the honor of Miss Kemah Teen USA and founding my first organization, Styles for Smiles. The benefits of personal branding from these two endeavors accredited me further as an entrepreneur when I started my second venture co-founding BF Hats,” said Bryn Carden.
Personal branding proves most opportune for Carden when trying to stand out from any competition and is enormously accommodating in building trust and relationships with consumers. She agrees that any other student can reap the rewards of personal branding ahead of the professional curve by developing their own before earning a degree.
“The way that the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, defines personal brand struck me when I came across his famous quote. He essentially says that the words people choose to use when describing you while you are absent from a room is what personal branding is,” said Carden.
Carden says that students should focus on what makes them unique through their skill sets and past or present experiences when growing a personal brand online and offline. As an entrepreneur, personal branding is crucial because it generates good business due to upholding a positive and desirable reputation. When piecing together her brand, Carden says that she wanted to incorporate her passion for philanthropy, which shines through her work as a founder and co-owner.
“Though I am passionate about many things such as health and women empowerment, my heart holds a special place for helping others in need. My past experiences have led me to have a personal attachment to the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. That is why my most current entrepreneurial endeavor, BF Hats, donates a portion from every purchase to Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, ultimately combining my passion for style and philanthropy,” said Carden.
